Penguicon announces some of the Guests of Honor! "RPG designer and developer Leonard Balsera, Star Trek author and historian Larry Nemecek, and Information science expert Casey Fiesler will all be joining us for Virtual Penguicon 2021. Check out 2021.penguicon.org/special-gue for more info."

Penguicon is happening on April 22nd-25th online.

We're looking for presentations in many different tracks. I'm heading up the gaming track, and I'm looking for folks who are game designers, video gamers, tabletop gamers, and the like.

Our theme this year is diversity and I'm hoping to draw a wide range of creators, designers, and players. But I need your help.

(edit: fixing bad dates from my poor memory)

(And in case I didn't mention it, Penguicon 2021 is online, so you'll be able to participate online)

(And you can participate online too. Register here: 2021.penguicon.org/registratio )

Penguicon is looking for programming for 2021. We cover many different interests including technology, gaming, DIY, cosplay, science fiction, writing, and a whole lot more. Learn more at 2021.penguicon.org/programming and if your muse starts tugging on your sleeve to present please fill out the form and satiate your muse's desires.

(And if you happen to look at the Tracks area there's also open positions for Track Heads as well.)

Thinking of presenting about how not to do game design at #penguicon2021 as a list of anti-patterns that I have found over the years in my own not-publishing games. Near the top of that list would be all of the not-terribly-helpful advice I've gotten through books and the like, and how to connect with your goals of game design rather than trying to suss out the market and work in the gaming industry.

Will see if I can flesh out the idea more to create an abstract.

The Consuite for has run out of the 21 year old Scotch, so you're just going to have to make do until next year.

Good morning, . The restaurant this year is really on-point, but I'd skip the buffet.
