Somebody on birdsite compared the strategy of their organization as if it were that of a game of Dominion. It's amazing how many things in life I mentally approach by "if this were a game of Dominion."
I used to give a "tarot" reading from a set of Dominion cards as a humorous thought exercise. I translated the game's mechanics: Card = Attention. Action = Will. Deck = Personality. Hand = Awareness. Buy = Training. Gain = Learn. Trash = Unlearn. Card = Habit. Treasure = Drive. Action = Behavior. Victory = Reward.
I dealt a random 10 cards & gave tongue-in-cheek life advice based on which strategies work well in conditions where that set of cards is available. This sprdsheet shows how I renamed/reworded all the cards available at the time:
