I still love narrating #fiction, even though I switched to narrating a nonfiction #audiobook at the moment.
Tom Purdom's 1999 #sciencefiction novelette "Fossil Games" had a tremendous influence on me. I emailed him last year to see if I could adapt it into a free #podcast. But he's in his 90s and probably has other things to do besides check email and investigate contractual restrictions on his audio rights.
The name of the John W. Campbell Award For Best New Writer has been changed to the Astounding Award For Best New Writer, due to the overwhelming consensus among winners, voters, and supporters of the award in modern times. #astoundingaward #sciencefiction
