i also kind of like how the movie is two very different movies for a lot of it, and one is very much a "as seen by a teenager" movie and the other is a "as seen by middle-aged adults" movie until they collide

@moira This is what I’m talking about. It has layers to it. The writers did a good job, and the cinematography and directing is good. The editing could be better, and I feel pretty sure they wanted to fit it under a certain time, so they reduced some stuff that might have made it even better. #Monsterdon

@ramsey @moira There was a LOT of attention to detail. Did anyone else notice the movie poster on the door that closed behind Projectionist Larry who went to loan the movie for bootlegging? It was the poster for *Red Dust*, a fine 1932 movie with Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, and Mary Astor in a love triangle. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Dust
